G&K is committed to ensuring the ethical and fair treatment of its employees and supply partners around the world. That’s why we are proud that our manufacturing facility in the Dominican Republic has been recognized with a Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) Gold Certificate of Compliance. The facility was initially certified in 2013 and earned re-certification in 2014.
WRAP is an independent, nonprofit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting socially responsible manufacturing around the world through certification and education. To earn the WRAP Gold Certificate of Compliance, G&K was required to conduct a rigorous assessment and undergo audits by an independent third-party monitoring company.
G&K’s facility in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, earned WRAP recognition because of its adherence to WRAP’s international workplace standards, including workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
The Dominican Republic facility manufactures G&K work apparel, producing high quality merchandise for our customers. Plant workers produce more than 4 million G&K uniforms annually, or about 50 percent of the garments we sell or rent to customers.
